The school garden looked clean after every morning assembly, but the rubbish bins filled with disposable plastic bottles before lunchtime. Noor and her science club counted the bottles thrown away during one week. They were surprised by the total and decided to suggest a practical change rather than simply asking classmates to care more about the environment.

With the headteacher's approval, the club installed a drinking-water refill point near the sports field. It tested the water, placed clear signs beside the station and asked students to bring reusable bottles. Members also explained that washing and reusing a bottle only helps when the water source is safe and the bottle is kept clean. At first, some pupils forgot their bottles, so the club arranged reminders before sports lessons.

A month later, the students repeated their count. The number of disposable bottles had fallen, although it had not reached zero. The club published both figures and admitted that improvement was gradual. Noor argued that an environmental project should be measured honestly, not advertised as perfect. Other classes began exploring how to reduce paper waste and save electricity.
